anchovy toast

 

you don’t really need a celebration to enjoy the best the anchovy world has to offer!

8-10 fillets of cantabrian anchovies
½ cup labneh
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Kosher salt + freshly ground black pepper
Pickled red onions
Good bread!

STEP 1
Slice the bread and lightly toast in the oven, toaster or in a dry skillet until desired crispiness.

STEP 2
In a small bowl, mix together the labneh, lemon juice, a pinch of salt, and a few grinds of black pepper.

STEP 3
Spread the labneh mixture over each piece of toast. Top with 1 or 2 anchovy fillets and a slice or two of pickled red onion. Best enjoyed with a glass of Champagne! :)
